Join the Benelux & EU Strategy & Insights team in Foods and collaborate to grow the business! Strategy & Insights aims to secure Unilever Foods’ success in Omnichannel FMCG within our top six EU markets. We are an integral part of the EU & Benelux Customer Strategy & Planning team, which focuses on developing growth plans for our leading customers across the Benelux and Europe. We pay special attention to the strategic future of the Foods business unit, covering category as well as channel insights. Digital Commerce is a key priority, alongside maximising our executional activities. Foods Strategy & Insights serves as the bridge between long-term strategy, and quarterly execution. This team collaborates with Sales, Category Management, and strategically advises on retail media activities (in collaboration with Shopper and Retail Media teams). 

This position demands expertise and drive to excel in Omnichannel shopper insights. It will oversee the dCommerce analytics Foods Benelux, providing a comprehensive view of dCommerce performance and monitoring the path-to-purchase process. Topics include offering insights on item-level profitability, market development, basket analysis, ROAS optimisation, share-of-search tracking, revenue management, and Shopper Marketing analysis

WHAT WILL YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES BE?

  • Deep analysis on Omnichannel performance and contributing to the Test & Learn agenda. 

  • Gathering, cleaning, and analysing large customer and consumer datasets to understand shopping behaviour, assess sales performance, and identify growth opportunities. 

  • Utilising and integrating multiple data sources (category, shopper behaviour, financial) to create reliable, actionable insights. 

  • Develop and implement strategies to enhance shopper discovery, selection, and conversion, identifying points of friction for optimization. 

  • Contribute to the design, development, and maintenance of metrics, business reports, and dashboards to inform key business decisions and monitor KPI achievement. 

  • Establish an end-to-end perspective of Omnichannel activities and be able to influence stakeholders to change and improve performance. 

  • Promote organizational upskilling by encouraging best practices and fostering a data-driven decision-making culture.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

  • 2+ years’ experience in consumer-oriented industry 

  • First and foremost an analytical expert, who loves to dive into the data and understand what’s happening at the most fundamental level. 

  • Adept Excel skills 

  • Possesses strong project management skills, capable of leading a cross-functional project and showing consistent delivery of planning. 

  • Skilled in collecting, cleaning, and analysing extensive customer and consumer data to generate actionable insights and support business decisions. 

  • Strong verbal/written communication, and presentation skills to share your findings with the broader business. 

  • Experience in translating quantitative insights to comprehensible actions. 

  • Familiarity with the digital commerce landscape, channels, and emerging business models such as rapid delivery. 

  • Fluent in English 

  • Experience in category management or sales roles 

  • Building PowerBI tooling and insight automation 

  • Experience in predictive and inferential modelling 

  • Familiarity with Retail Media (digital as well as in-store)
