Job Summary:
The role will manage all aspects of financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, analysis and accounting for the Beauty & Personal Care business unit (BPC). The position holder will provide insights to support decision making processes at various levels in BPC, as well as ensure compliance with IFRS policies and local regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop annual budgets, rolling forecasts and long-term plans for BPC in collaboration with marketing, sales and operations teams.
• Analyze variances against plan and provide insights to help improve performance.
• Drive cost efficiencies through detailed analysis of spend and identifying opportunities for optimization.
• Prepare regular management reports on business performance including key metrics such as revenue growth rate, gross margin percentage, operating expenses etc.
• Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting to corporate finance team in line with global policies.
• Manage monthly closing activities, ensuring alignment between local statutory requirements and group reporting standards.
• Oversee cash flow management for BPC business unit, including managing receivables/payables, inventory management and accounts payable reconciliation.
• Provide guidance on tax matters related to indirect taxes, customs duties, VAT refunds etc.
• Support ad hoc projects or special initiatives as assigned by senior management within the organization.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field. MBA preferred.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in a similar role within multinational companies preferably in FMCG sector.
• Strong understanding of financial principles, including budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis and profitability management.
• Experience working with ERP systems (SAP) and other financial software tools.
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal in English.
• Ability to analyze complex data sets and present findings clearly.
• Proven ability to collaborate effectively across functions to drive business objectives forward.
• Demonstrated leadership potential with ability to motivate cross functional teams towards common goals.
