PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

Hyper Automation is a key platform as part of the Technology Foundation team, within Unilever. It forms the foundation of all technology automation, AI and Agentic Framework within Unilever. As a part of the Hyper Automation Product team, the Service Now Chief Product Owner is responsible to ensure end for the end ownership of Service Now platform and expected to deliver expected business outcomes via the platform for greater customer satisfaction.

WHAT WILL YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES BE

  • Underpin the ongoing operation of the platform and maintain its strategic direction including implementation of new modules and enhancements of existing modules

  • Ensure Unilever is represented and prioritised within the ServiceNow Strategy & Product roadmap.

  • Deliver delivery responsibilities for the Unilever and IC demerger for the impact on the Service Now platform for business continuity as part of the scope.

  • Engage with ServiceNow to keep to date with future product enhancements.

  • Proactively assess, innovate and promote the value of future product enhancements.

  • Support and collaborate with the process office, product teams, owning the capability for Service Now, ensuring smooth releases across different Service Now modules.

  • Lead the design, governance and delivery responsibilities for key products within the Service Now Platform.

  • Represent the IT business during platform upgrades and patching.

  • Manage business demands from review through to deployment through a team of Unilever and vendor partner ecosystem.

  • Manage IT stakeholder’s expectations and collaboratively work on roadmaps

  • Cohesively work with team of Product Owners and Operational teams to work as one platform team.

  • Ensure that the full capability of product has been implemented to achieve maximum business value

  • Engage Service Owner, Platform Architect and Enterprise Architecture to find the best solutions for the Unilever community.

  • Work within the mature Agile and DevOps framework

  • Support employees by challenging poor practices/the status quo to provide excellent employee experience across the product.

EXPERIENCES & QUALIFICATIONS

Necessary Experience & Qualifications  

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field. Advanced degrees are a plus.

  • 12+ years relevant experience of supporting the establishment, development and transacting processes for enterprise platforms within a complex global environment. Previous experience with Service Now will be a clear advantage.

  • Proven track record of delivering projects on enterprise platforms, running improvement activities across a broad range of areas.

  • Knowledge of Agile methodologies/practices e.g. Scrums and Sprints and able to demonstrate the active practice and implementation of these techniques

  • Ability and openness to take on undefined Demands and/or Projects as they arise and bring structure to them, delivering outcomes and not solutions.

  • Business awareness, understanding the broader context in which IT delivery has an impact on overall business performance.

  • Ability work with Vendor Partners to deliver new modules, enhancements and other changes needed on the platform

  • Ability to manage senior stakeholders (WL3+) effectively.

Preferred Experience & Qualifications 

  • Sound understanding and hands on experience in different modules of ServiceNow (ITSM, HRSD, CSM, IRM, SPM, WSD)

  • Sound understanding and hands on experience in the core ServiceNow platform capabilities

  • ServiceNow certifications (ServiceNow Certified System Administrator, ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist, etc.) are highly desirable.
