Job Purpose:
As our People Experience Lead, you will be the first point of contact for all employee relations and general HR inquiries for Customer Development, Marketing, Finance, R&D, and other office-based roles in the US and Canada. You'll support our employees as the subject matter expert in key HR processes, oversee HR transactions, and provide value-added analysis and reporting. You'll also participate in HR projects and initiatives, balancing customer service/advocacy for employees and administering company policies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Empowering Line Managers: Act as the first point of contact for employee relations inquiries, interpret policy, and advocate for employees.
- Supporting Employees: Coach and counsel employees, frontline leaders, and managers on employee relation matters.
- Performance Management: Lead and provide direction to managers regarding the Performance Management Process (PMP).
- Managing HR Transactions: Own the delivery and administration of all HR transactions not provided by a third party.
- Policy Adherence: Liaise with Expertise teams to manage employee concerns while adhering to policy and federal/state laws.
- Conducting Investigations: Conduct investigations, including write-ups, legal conversations, and coaching.
- HR Tools & Processes: Act as Subject Matter Expert (SME) for all key HR tools, systems, and processes.
- Data-Driven Decisions: Analyze data to make key decisions to drive performance.
- Resource Utilization: Utilize Unilever &/or The Magnum Ice Cream Company resources to deliver business objectives.
- Organizational Interventions: Design, implement, and measure the impact of organizational interventions.
- Monitoring HR Trends: Report HR trends and issues within the scope of work.
- HQ Support: Provide on-the-ground office support at the US headquarters, ensuring smooth operations and addressing any immediate HR needs.
What You Need to Succeed:
- HR Experience: Previous HR Generalist experience at a CPG and/or Global Organization.
- Educational Background: Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or a related field with 3-5 years of HR operations and/or employee relations experience.
- HRIS Proficiency: Experience using an HRIS system, such as Workday.
- Curiosity and Grit: Natural curiosity and grit – love a challenge and will not give up when things get hard.
- Communication Skills: Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to influence others.
- Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with all levels of the organization.
- Project Management: Ability to manage and prioritize projects and day-to-day activities.
- Adaptability: Comfortable with ambiguity, problem solving, and actioning.
- Tech-Savvy: Proficiency in Excel, including VLOOKUPs and pivot tables.
- Organization Skills: Highly organized and able to manage multiple tasks and priorities efficiently.
- Team Player: Can work independently while also enjoying collaboration with colleagues.
- Language Skills: Proficient in English.
