The B&W business in Unilever Mexico is a Contender for leadership in the Hair category , requiring strong strategic agility and visionary leadership coupled with strong bias for action to drive success. The director of Beauty Marketing will lead critical work across all hair portfolio brands in close partnership with the cross functional BU leadership team.
JOB PURPOSE
The Marketing Director focus on demand creation and drive category market development. Is responsible of strengthen the equities of several key brands simultaneously and generate consumer engaging in different defined cohorts’ across in strategic points of contact. Is responsible of crafting and execute of holistic 6P´s multi-angle plans to generate sustainable profitable growth for Hair Mexico.
WHAT WILL YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES BE
- Leads Marketing functions of Hair Category and Sedal Brand in the country
- Translates Hair Category Strategy into articulated Marketing deployment plan that effectively wins market share, build equity in key brands and drives profitable consistent growth in key Channels & Retailers
- Defines local Hair portfolio strategy and co-create country portfolio transformation initiatives that generates market development.
- Lead IBP Process for Hair Category
- Define and manage Pricing Strategy for Category, Brands and Formats.
- Co-Create Promotional Strategy plans. [Channel / Brands /Formats]
- Manage the cross functional teams and key stakeholders including, R&D, Procurement, Legal, Demand Planning, CSP, Finance, DMC and agencies.
- Management of innovation and renovation funnel (incl. Innoflex & Investor Boards) & execution in market for the next 3 years.
- Management of Marketing (BMI) Budget within agreed targets (responsibility to keep proper balance of total budget ATL, BTL).
- Owner of the Hair Category Marketing people agenda, guardian of collaborative culture and change catalyst
- Member of Hair Category and Sedal Global Community and LATAM Marketing Leadership team
- Brings insights from consumers, shoppers and competitors into decision making
- Drives upskilling of the organization in digital, social first marketing, digital commerce and (elevated) premiumization
WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO SUCCEED
Experiences & Qualifications
- Marketing: Category & Brand experience +8 years experience. Developing Brand marketing plans
- Inspiring and results-action oriented leadership
- P&L Management
- Communication Assets Development
- Purposeful brand crafting & positioning
- Media Strategy and planning
- Creative judgement
- Understanding customers and shoppers.
- Digital marketing: social first, community management, influencer management
- Demonstration of an entrepreneurial mind set and strong bias for action with proven results leading and motivating internal cross functional teams and external partners.
- Develop and lead engaging Activation platforms for each brand and Co-horts
- Core aspects underpinning all skills: Creativity, Empathy, Obsession with brands & consumers, Sense of Aesthetics.
- Analytical Thinking & Rigor.
- Managing difficult conversations, building high performing teams
- Fluency in English (verbal and written)
