WHAT WILL YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES BE
The Procurement Manager for Raw Materials in Homecare and Oral categories will be responsible for managing the procurement process, ensuring structured management of suppliers and markets. This role requires close collaboration with suppliers to co-create sustainable practices and initiatives that drive positive impact. The manager will need to develop innovative procurement strategies to create value and adapt to the dynamic business environment, supporting both bottom and top-line business objectives. Compliance with procurement policies and optimization of cost efficiency and quality are also essential aspects of this role.
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED
Team Coordination & Support
- Serve as a key contact point for Procurement Homecare & Oral Care, ensuring smooth communication and alignment with business priorities.
- Help structure workflows and resolve bottlenecks within the team to improve efficiency.
- Provide guidance and coaching to team members to enhance process execution and strategic thinking.
CCBT Leadership & Stakeholder Engagement
- Represent Procurement in cross-functional meetings and business discussions to provide updates and insights.
- Engage with stakeholders across Supply Chain, Marketing, Finance, and R&D to align procurement with business priorities.
- Act as the key procurement contact for category teams, ensuring collaboration on innovation, cost optimization, and risk management.
Procurement Execution & Strategy
- Drive effective execution of procurement strategies for raw materials, ensuring cost efficiency and supplier performance.
- Support the development of a sourcing resilience plan to mitigate risks and ensure business continuity.
- Monitor market trends and provide price forecasting insights, working closely with category teams to optimize sourcing decisions.
- Lead and support local and regional supplier negotiations to maximize value while ensuring compliance with Unilever’s procurement policies.
Supplier Management & Cost Optimization
- Build and maintain strong supplier relationships, ensuring performance management and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Support cost-saving initiatives by identifying efficiency opportunities across sourcing and supplier management.
- Ensure procurement compliance with Unilever’s governance, sustainability, and ethical sourcing policies.
- Drive improvements in cash flow and working capital planning, working closely with finance teams.
Innovation & Sustainability
- Partner with BU teams to support the launch of innovations and new product development.
- Drive sustainability initiatives by working with suppliers to deliver on Unilever’s responsible sourcing goals.
Experiences & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university, preferably in Supply Chain, or Business.
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in Procurement is essential, with a preference for 7 years. Experience should be within Unilever, the FMCG industry, or a large, complex organization with significant portfolio and market knowledge.
- The ability to work in a fast-paced business environment, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability by managing numerous priorities concurrently; organizational and time management abilities.
- Proficiency in Supply Market Intelligence, Analysis, Competitiveness, and identifying Value Chain opportunities.
- Self-motivated with the capability to work independently.
- Experience collaborating within cross-functional teams in a matrix environment, both in person and virtually.
- Experience managing supplier relationships to create value in a mutual beneficial way

- Strong Analytical Skills: Proficiency in data analysis, with a deep knowledge of Excel to interpret and manage complex datasets.
- Effective Communication: Ability to concisely communicate with senior-level internal and external stakeholders, ensuring clarity and alignment.

- Problem-Solving: Strong ability to identify issues, analyze data, and develop effective solutions.
- Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with procurement software and digital tools to streamline processes and enhance efficiency.
- Leadership: Ability to lead and motivate a team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
- Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail to ensure accuracy in procurement processes and documentation.
- Adaptability: Ability to adapt to changing business environments and market conditions, maintaining flexibility in approach.
