The role of Finance Excellence Team Manager + Nutrition Business Partner is to take charge of regional/global reporting submission monthly through manual excel and Unilever systems, work on monthly P&L formulation basis inputs from various key stakeholders, and be a business partner for Nutrition business unit, engaging with marketing and sales team to drive value for the business.

WHAT WILL YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES BE

Regional and global reporting submission monthly

  • Simulate forecast P&L submission for alignment with GM and Finance lead monthly
  • Prepare working files with high accuracy and short lead time, after P&L signoff for submission in Hyperion, iFinance and other required system in Unilever monthly
  • Provide actual monthly result, extracted from system into relevant templates for sharing with senior leaders and global reporting team
  • Work on scenario planning and other reports as assigned

Internal P&L preparation - Sales and Operation Planning (SnOP process) monthly

  • Prepare working files for SnOP process, after receiving relevant inputs from supply chain planner, marketing team, and other Finance partners
  • Formulate P&L by brand, category and business unit with high accuracy and timeliness
  • Identify and understand key drivers of P&L line-item movements, and propose recommendations

Business partnering Nutrition business unit

  • Compute business cases and return on investment
  • Assist stakeholders in explaining financial information, key variances, proposing recommendations, and driving actions to deliver business objectives
  • Prepare PH creation for new launch
  • Identify risk and opportunities and present to business partners
  • Prepare deck to present in monthly meeting
  • Prepare pricing template and P&L simulation
  • Other ad-hoc works as required by LM and senior stakeholders

In all the above, the incumbent will be actively engaging not just with relevant team, but also the extended Regional/ Global Category Finance team.

The incumbent will be required to work with employees from junior to senior work levels for most part of his/her time, sometimes supporting high level on their request for financial analysis. Thus, sound business knowledge of the category will be required.

Experiences & Qualifications

Key Skills & Attributes

  • Strong analytical, influencing, business partnering and communication and interpersonal skills is key for the job
  • Good working knowledge of management accounting and financial accounting principles/policies
  • Business and Performance reporting, financial planning and forecasting, project costing and decision support and ad hoc evaluation

Relevant Experience

Essential:

  • Experience in core Finance in an operating company will be an added advantage
  • Ability to deal with large number of contacts, across countries, and including senior management in Category.
  • Business partnering experience will be preferred

Desirable:

  • A recognised degree in Accounting, ACCA and CIMA preferred.
  • Experiences in working in World Class Business Organisation
  • Able to work and communicate with diverse people
