Unilever Deodorants Canada is the market leader with 42% share within the Deodorants category. Dove and Schmidt’s contribute 40% of the topline and the team is now looking to accelerate growth on this part of the business.

Job Purpose:

As the Associate Brand Manager, Dove & Schmidt's Deodorants Canada, you will report to the Senior Brand Manager, Dove Deodorants and be instrumental in leading the growth of the #1 deodorants brand in Canada. Dove is driven by its strong purpose and commitment to superior care. As a trailblazer in the beauty industry, Dove has led the shift from toxic beauty ideals to a more inclusive form of beauty.

What Will Your Main Responsibilities Be

  • Support and contribute to realizing the objectives of the Deos category as a member of the team
  • Accountable for delivering the annual financial plan as measured through market share, topline, margin and profit
  • Leading internal cross-functional teams to achieve brand objectives.
  • Lead local communications plans, including but not limited to: media planning, local content development, working with influencers, test & learning on new digital/social platforms  
  • Clear understanding of customer objectives and working in alignment with Sales and Trade Marketing counterparts to support customer needs.
  • Working closely with global brand partners to optimize innovation mixes for the Canadian market, delivering on-time flawless execution of these programs. Create sell stories to land innovation with key retailers.
  • Managing the day-to-day operations of the brand
  • Assist in the development and execution of deployment plans with the Integrated Agency Team (IAT) that includes external media and PR agencies. Track and evaluate in market plans while keeping tabs on competition.
  • Driving mental and physical reach of core and innovations

What You Will Need To Succeed

Experiences & Qualifications:

  • We are looking for a highly motivated individual, and has a strong bias for action

  • Has excellent Analytical/quantitative skills & project management skills; be able to effectively present and implement action plans.

  • Strong interpersonal skills, able to independently lead & motivate internal cross-functional teams & external agency partners

  • A balance of art & science – ability to think creatively & strategically, with strong business mindset and an eye for aesthetic, design & keen attention to detail

  • 3 to 5 years relevant marketing experience in CPG

  • Shopper and Consumer Understanding 

  • Degree in Marketing preferable

  • Digital content experience   

  • Budget management  

  • Problem Solving

Pay: The pay range for this position is $86,080 to $129,120. Unilever takes into consideration a wide range of factors that are utilized in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, qualifications and education, and other business and organizational needs.

Bonus: This position is bonus eligible.

Long-Term Incentive (LTI): This position is LTI eligible.
