JOB PURPOSE

As a plant inventory lead, you will be leading the overall inventory for plant issuance across Mix, Logistics and Production. You will lead the shift inventory coordinators by ensuring 100% accuracy in materials issuance, consumption and reconciliation that would significantly contribute to the overall efficiency and success of the Factory. You will actively coordinate with other departments such as Production, SHE, QA, UMS, Logistics and Mix across the factory to meet the shift targets IE: Safety, QA, OEE, Volume and Waste as applicable. You will champion Factory waste losses and work closely with the Mix, Production and Logistics teams by identifying losses, generating ideas to reduce / eliminate findings.  You will uphold Safety & Morale of the employees as a value in the factory and will ensure compliance to quality always as a priority

WHAT WILL YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES BE

  • Manage the overall Inventory consumptions within each run, across all lines.
  • Monitor and adjust on a shift basis the WO once a run is complete by accurately documenting consumption in SAP
  • Work closely with the Mix Coordinator, Receiving & Shipping Coordinators and ensure material availability for each run. 
  • Responsible for ensuring >95% accuracy in physical counts on a daily basis.
  • Actively play a role in weekly planning for the future runs.
  • Proactively put measures in place to prevent loss, and lead RCAs to avoid/mitigate the reoccurrence of issues in the space of Differences in Inventory / WO
  • Assist in delivering required training to ensure that all coworkers have the necessary skills to perform their jobs properly and safely.
  • Responsible to work with planning and ensuring SAP Accuracy
  • Responsible for executing and verifying food safety and quality processes (allergen management, storage temperature)
  • Responsible to Creating and control of records for all Inventory processes and maintain SOP's and WI's
  • Ensure processes area followed for FIFO and work with Receiving, Mix, Logistics and planning to ensure materials are used prior to expiry, partner with QA on extension process (KPI: Expired material waste reduction)
  • Protection of employee’s health and safety by meeting legislative requirements, providing instruction in regard to safety procedures and ensuring compliance of all regulatory and plant safety rules. Par Etc.
  • Responsible for eliminating expired materials availability
  • Responsible for logging and updating Business waste and other applicable reports as needed by the business.
  • Reduction in inventory adjustments
  • Actively participating in all daily, weekly meetings and working closely with the team on floor to implement all expected.
  • Work with Production, Mix, Logistics Supervisors, UMS, Process Engineers and Environment Teams on reconciling the weekly performance on waste and agree on delivering results as expected out of the actions generated.
  • Ensuring accurate physical material available to each department as required for a run
  • Responsible for working with the mix department and ensure a daily mass balance with remedial closure actions  
  • Responsible for delivering waste targets for the plant but addressing all points listed above
