Project Verdi intends to separate Unilever’s global Ice Cream business with its well-known brands, geographical reach, and including the Ice Cream estates New Ice Cream company will become the world’s largest IC company. This role is an opportunity to work on one of Unilever’s biggest and most critical transformation projects over the next years

There is a requirement for a team on the Unilever side of the project called Separation Team (not moving with the separated company) covering the scope of Latin America Scale countries. The team is responsible for leading the Finance Workstream in the project and act as  PMO coordinating the rest of the workstreams (HR, IT, SC, GTM, Mkt, Tax, Legal).

WHAT WILL YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES BE

  • Main point of contact between Global M&A Separation Team and local finance teams, working closely with country teams to ensure timely data submission and support reconciliation efforts across various teams
  • Working in collaboration with other financial areas supporting the preparation and review of the carved out financial statements, ensuring timely provision of information to KPMG, and managing the audit to ensure timely delivery.
  • Support on the design of Transition Service Agreement (TSAs) needed as part of separation and ensure and alignment with the new IC Company
  • Proactively track and mitigate business, operational & project risks.
  • Act as PMO and engage with other functional workstream leads (GTM, SC, Legal, HR) to provide any information necessary and ensure any interdependent
  • Support knowledge transfer between UL and separated IC. Provide Finance assistant as needed for any other ad hoc activities that may be required.

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED

Experiences & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree required.
  • Proficiency in Portuguese and English are required.
  • Proficiency in Spanish is desirable.
  • Experience in finance controlling areas.
  • Strong Project management skills (plan and coordinate with other teams).
  • Able to communicate effectively and work remotely.
  • End to end management, ability to understand the big picture but also comfortable with details.
  • Experience of working cross functional teams.
