Background & Purpose of the Job
The Quality Front Line Manager role is the main onsite quality and food safety representative for the St. Albans manufacturing facility. The Quality Front Line Manager reports into the Vermont Manufacturing Sr. Manager of Site Quality and is part of the broader North America Ice Cream Quality Team. The role will be focused on ensuring the highest level of quality control, quality assurance and food safety activities in our laboratory and production environment. This role will work closely with all departments at the factory to provide expertise and support of quality and food safety while fostering a culture, across the site, of superior quality, food safety and compliance.

What You’ll Do
Work hand in hand with safety, production, logistics, maintenance, procurement, and suppliers to guide and troubleshoot issues related to quality on a day-to-day basis.
Works cross functionally with the manufacturing site to lead robust root cause analysis and implement effective corrective and preventative actions related to consumer complaint investigations, manufacturing incidents and supplier related defects.
Ensure quality program skill and training programs implemented for site.
Supervise a team of 9; 7 quality technicians and 2 quality leads.
Lead and maintain quality control systems and the site laboratory, including sampling procedures, laboratory equipment and analytical tests to ensure all products produced meet food safety and quality requirements.
Summarize data and prepare and interpret reports for use by management.
Drive continuous improvement for Quality metrics, KPIs and KAIs in the factory to support key goals and initiatives of local and global stakeholders.
Support the Quality Management System improvement process for the most relevant topics including SAP-QM and QualityOne (Veeva)-
Responsible for ensuring compliance to regulatory requirements, FSSC requirements, local and global internal Unilever standards and policies.
What You’ll Need To Succeed
Bachelors Degree (BA/BS) in Food Science, Microbiology, Chemistry, or other related field or equivalent experience.
3-5+ years of manufacturing and/or laboratory experience within food, beverage or related industry.
Leadership experience within the manufacturing industry.
Applied knowledge of GMP, HACCP, Allergen Management, Food Safety, FSSC 22000, PMO, FDA 21 CFR 110, etc.
An affinity for change management and digital solutions,
Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills, proven planning and organizing skills, leadership, teamwork, and influencing or collaboration skills.
Must be able to manage multiple assignments.
Must be able to perform in a demanding, fast-paced environment.
Must have strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Proficiency in MS tools (Excel, Power BI, PPT) and UL Business Systems (SAP, PLM)

Pay: The pay range for this position is $86,080 to $129,120. Unilever takes into consideration a wide range of factors that are utilized in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, qualifications and education, and other business and organizational needs.
Bonus: This position is bonus eligible.
