JOB PURPOSE:

As part of our growth strategy, we are seeking a highly skilled Supply Chain lead to join our dynamic team within the IT Enterprise Applications function.

The role is part of the IT Enterprise Application team.

The newly created Ice Cream Technology function will drive the technology set-up, standalone design and implementation of all required technology capabilities to enable Unilever’s Ice Cream business to become a fully functioning standalone company, separate from Unilever.

The Supply Chain Lead will serve as the strategic and operational IT partner to the supply chain function, supporting the setup, integration, and enhancement of the end-to-end digital demand, supply planning and logistics landscape. This includes defining and implementing supply chain IT systems, enabling end-to-end integration, establishing key supply chain solutions, and help shape the digital roadmap for agile and responsive supply chain operations.

This is a pivotal role in driving resilient, compliant, and future-ready supply planning and logistics capabilities across a newly separated business

The successful candidate will be one that has significant IT expertise with a proven record of leading large-scale transformations and has a passion for building world class IT innovations/solutions that make a meaningful impact.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Strategic Leadership:
    • Serve as the primary IT partner to the supply chain function, working closely with demand, supply and warehouse & logistics teams to define technology needs and priorities.
    • Shape and implement the digital supply chain strategy, supporting the transition to agile, connected, and data-enabled planning and warehousing operations.
    • Collaborate with senior stakeholders across Supply Chain and Technology to align roadmaps with business outcomes and standalone requirements.
    • Support the development and roll-out of digital capabilities, including capabilities such as advanced demand forecasting, supply planning, inventory optimization, warehouse operations, and proactive real-time visibility tools.
  • System Integration and Optimization:
    • Drive the integration of ERP (e.g., SAP S/4HANA) with supply planning tools such as Kinaxis, Oracle Transport Planning, SAP eWM
    • Ensure transactional integrity, traceability, and real-time data flow between enterprise planning systems and supply chain execution.
    • Define system interfaces, integrations and enterprise planning and execution solution standards in collaboration with enterprise architects.
    • Coordinate integration of Supply chain solutions across end-to-end processes such as S&OP and IBP.
  • Delivery & Execution:
    • Lead or support the design and implementation of new supply chain IT capabilities across greenfield and brownfield sites.
    • Manage delivery of supply chain technology projects, including vendor engagement, user acceptance testing, deployment, and hypercare.
    • Coordinate cross-functional IT teams to deliver aligned, secure, and scalable solutions that meet both operational and enterprise requirements.
  • Leadership and stakeholder management:
    • Lead or support the design and implementation of new supply chain (planning & execution) IT capabilities across the enterprise.
    • Support governance processes to ensure stakeholder alignment and prioritization across the key domains.
    • Participate in steering committees, design workshops, and architecture forums representing supply chain interests.

  • Performance Monitoring and Reporting:
    • Monitor system performance and technology reliability to proactively identify opportunities for improvement.
    • Support supply planning data analytics and performance insights to drive operational excellence and innovation.
    • Champion agile approaches to testing and deploying new technologies in partnership with supply chain teams.
  • Risk Management:
    • Ensure GMP, data integrity, and cybersecurity compliance across all supply chain technologies and integrations.
    • Support audits and regulatory reviews through proper documentation, system controls, and user access governance.

Skills and Experience Required:

  • Education: degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Experience: 
    • Minimum of 10 years of experience in IT, minimum 5 years in leadership roles
    • Proven track record of managing large-scale IT projects with focus on supply chain, especially advanced planning and warehousing systems
    • Experience with ERP integration, demand planning, supply planning, transport and warehouse management systems

  • Technical Skills:
    • Knowledge of SAP S/4HANA WM modules , supply demand and supply planning, logistics and transport solutions , coupled with data analysis, reporting tools, and performance metrics.
    • Experience with middleware, APIs, and implementation of advanced planning solutions integrated across Trade Promo Mgmt, Demand management utilising disperate data sources.
    • Knowledge of IT infrastructure, software development, and cybersecurity principles.
