Job Title: Process Project Engineer
Location: Port Sunlight Factories (Site based)
Work-Level: 19
JOB PURPOSE
This role would require you to lead the implementation of engineering projects within the Sourcing Units, including design, installation and commissioning of process plant and equipment.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- The preparation of equipment schedules, cost schedules and project documentation
- The installation, testing and commissioning of plant equipment related to engineering projects
- Conduct technical surveys and feasibility studies to enable project decisions to be made
- Create scope documents to ensure equipment design and installation is completed to the correct standards
- Work with Process designer to ensure plant and process is designed correctly
- Manage contractors completing the work by reviewing risk assessment and method statements, signing permits for work to start, completing audits during the works and signing off on completion
- Manage any work regarding the civil aspects of plant installation such as ground works for a new vessel installation
- Provide stakeholder updates for projects.
ALL ABOUT YOU
- Relevant experience in FMCG process projects
- Hygienic plant and process design
- Managed the design and installation of plant equipment (could include tanks, pumps, heat exchangers, pipework, valve and manifolds, CiP systems)
- Managing contractors safely through installation
- Ability to understand deeply process P&ID's and plant flow layouts
- Experience of Microsoft Office required (Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, etc.)
- Chemical engineering background
- Project management qualification or relevant experience.
- IOSH Managing safety.

Recruitment Fraud
Cyber criminals advertise fake job adverts with prestigious employers as a way of stealing information or even defrauding individuals out of money.In the most sophisticated cases, they will set up fake websites, which have a similar address to companies like Unilever. They even conduct fake telephone interviews and then offer candidates a role with the proviso they pay a fee for background checks or to cover work visa costs. These types of attacks are becoming more common as more people are looking for employment in the economic climate.
How is Unilever tackling this?
Many of Unilever’s recruitment sites publish a warning to candidates about recruitment fraud. The Cyber Security team also proactively scan for signs of people setting up fake Unilever sites and act to close them down.
