Job Title: Instrumentation & Automation Engineering Executive

Key responsibilities:
• Hands-on experience with PLC programming (Siemens S7 series, Allen-Bradley Micrologix or equivalent)
• SCADA configuration and visualization
• Microcontroller-based automation (Arduino, ESP32, etc.) including sensor integration and basic communication protocols
• Selection, integration, and troubleshooting of instrumentation hardware (PLCs, HMIs, control panels)
• Familiarity with field instruments: control valves, temperature/pressure sensors, encoders, proximity sensors
• Preparation of instrumentation documents: I/O lists, cable schedules, interconnection diagrams
• Panel assembly, wiring, I/O loop testing, and instrument calibration
• Data logging and technical reporting
• Working knowledge of electrical systems and safety standards
• Digital & Analytical Skills:
• Proficient in AutoCAD, MS Office, MS Project
• Aptitude for learning Unilever digital tools (PLM, ELN, LIMS, SAP)
• Exposure to AI, ML, IoT, IT/OT integration, data analytics, and open communication protocols
Soft Skills:
• Strong communication, presentation, and technical writing abilities
• Creative problem-solving and data analysis mindset
• Team player with multitasking capabilities
Key Responsibilities
• Lead and execute cross-functional Capex projects
• Act as SPOC for assigned category for Routine Engineering Operations & Maintenance
• Drive digital transformation initiatives within R&D
• Maintain Basic IT Infrastructure for R&D
• Collaborate on prototype development and testing using emerging technologies
• Support internal audits, gap analyses, and compliance activities across functions
• Ensure adherence to GMP, ISO, FWS, safety protocols, and hygiene standards
• Maintain flexibility to work across locations as per business needs

Qualifications:
B.E./B.Tech in Instrumentation, Electronics & Communication, Electrical & Electronics, Mechatronics, or equivalent
Experience: 2–5 years in instrumentation and automation roles.
