CATEGORY OR FUNCTION INTRODUCTION

Description:

As an Assistant Procurement Manager, the responsibility is to manage operations & innovations for Raw Materials in Hair category leading sourcing, localization, innovations, coordinating with internal stakeholders and external partners to support growth, secure business and maximize value for HUL’s Hair Care business.

Job Responsibilities:

Ensuring material availability at factories to service demand by closely interacting with the planning, factory and CMRP team. Represent & lead procurement function for all innovations in Hair category, coordinating closely with RM & PM buyers to ensure timely launches. Lead strategic Localization/Resilience projects for India, to minimize business risk and bring agility, onboard new suppliers. Work closely with R&D on 5S value delivery for category. Maintain accuracy in price forecasting cycle while communicating future view to Finance and Business. Analyze project needs and build up relevant strategic sourcing framework, animate the network, and lead best practices Manage project process, drive clear roadmap with sourcing/collaborative stakeholders (Finance/quality/R&D, etc.) and external partners. Formulate improvements for process and tools ensure project quality. Support Innovations and new launches by ensuring supplier onboarding and material availability on time to factories for production.
