Job Summary
We are looking for a Workshop/Production Fitter to join our team in Minto factory, where you will be responsible Safe work practices ensuring the continual safe running of all of the sites equipment. This will be achieved by ensuring high levels of responsiveness, additional focus on MTBF, MTTR and using this information to prioritise maintenance and improvement activities.
Role Responsibilities:
- Mechanical trade qualified with at least certificate III.
- Responsible for safe and optimal operation of the sites mix plant, packaging lines and palletising area.
- Preventative/corrective and breakdown maintenance in Minto ice cream production plant, including the above systems as well as other maintenance/breakdown tasks across the site.
- Troubleshooting and problem solving with minimal disruption to production.
- Identifying and implementing creative improvement solutions to eliminate breakdowns.
- Participate in projects.
- Work order management as per site requirements.
- Actively participate to improve preventive maintenance effectiveness.
- Train Autonomous Maintenance teams.
- Raising EWOs and Tags.
- Earn a weekly salary of $2336.11 per week
What you will need to succeed
Experience & Qualifications
Required -
- Safety first attitude.
- certificate III in mechanical.
- Strong understanding and hands on experience of maintaining and troubleshooting of process equipment including pumps, control valves, storage tanks, homogeniser and pasteuriser.
- Strong understanding and hands on experience of maintaining/troubleshooting palletising equipment.
- Strong understanding and hands on experience of maintaining/troubleshooting packaging equipment including box formers, carton closers, shrink wrappers etc.
- Strong understanding and hands on experience of maintaining/troubleshooting pneumatic components including cylinders and solenoid valves.
- Ability to identify opportunities in PM tasks.
Desired -
- Hands on experience to work on lathe machine, grinders, milling machine. Welding skills are desirable.
- Working knowledge of CMMS to execute work orders and booking out parts.
- Working at heights certification desirable.
