JOB PURPOSE:

Serve the cold chain of the region, ensuring that the cold storage equipment is maintained, including predictive, preventive and corrective maintenance thereof; as well as providing support to the Department, in accordance with the Policies and Procedures of TMICC.

JOB SUMMARY

• The responsibility of the Cold Chain team will span from factory Cold Store, In-transit Refrigerated Trucks, and Depot Cold Store. This includes Cold Chain Excellence, Temperature controls, and Conflict Resolution on temperature norms between factory, transporter & depot

• Instituting the necessary Operations Excellence systems/processes such as ‘Depot Temperature’

• Regular Audit / Review of systems and controls

• Root Cause Analysis of any Cold Chain Disruption (Depots Cold Stores or Refrigerated Vans) leading to Service Loss, Quality Issues or Business Waste or spoilage.

• Temperature Controls and compliance to Norms including In-transit and Depot Colds Store and Crisis Response in Temperature Shocks

• Refrigerated Trucks Quality Controls, Placement and Turnaround between Concessionaire & Depot

• Business Waste avoidance on account of temperature shocks, stock handling, etc.

• Control of Warehouse of Spare Parts, maintaining and control of Inventories of the same one, with the purpose of maintaining precision in the same, as well as to maintain the control of the dispatches requested.

• Infrastructure development and care of distributors

• Knowledge of Asset management and operation. Repair and Maintenance of Company assets eg. Cabinets and Trikes

• Liaison with Transporters and Concessionaire for the availability of road worthy Secondary Vans

• Ensure and actively participate in compliance with the code of ethics that governs the company, as well as the rules and procedures established by SHE.

• Supervise and contribute to the safety and physical and moral integrity of Unilever personnel

• Supervise the team of Engineers for the on-ground operation of Cold Chain for the region

• Develop and innovate selling solution as per business requirement

• Liaison with OEM, manufactures, vendor, suppliers for the development of cabinets, trikes and spare parts

• Good Knowledge of Supply Chain Source & deliver process, Commercial Controls, Inventory management, Negotiation Skills and Stock Hygiene in Manufacturing Set up.

KEY REQUIREMENTS

EXPERIENCES

• Bachelor’s Degree (in Mechanical/Electrical engineering preferred)

• Atleast 4 years of relevant experience in FMCG/Snacking industry is preferred

• Experience in Cold Chains and refrigeration systems

• Management of suppliers; proactive, achievement oriented, good customer service and growth mindset

• Well versed in AUTOCAD and MS Office.

• Should be able to negotiate with customers and manage multiple stakeholders

• Exhibit all Standards of Leadership (purpose & service, personal mastery, business acumen, talent catalyst, agility, consumer love and passion for high performance)

• High on objective rigor where efforts are focused towards a business target pegged to key priorities and market realities

• Extremely up to date with technology globally and leverage it in their area

• Strong on analytical skills to find business opportunities to improve efficiency
