JOB PURPOSE:

This is an exciting opportunity to lead and drive Unilever’s growth engine into the future! We are looking for a driven, proactive, creative, and organized Assistant Brand Manager who will be responsible for leading the activation of our brand strategy in Singapore across consumer-facing channels.

Using breakthrough thinking, consumer, brand and customer understanding to create a clear and ambitious growth vision and strategy for the assigned portfolio. You will be part of the local marketing team working across a range of varied and exciting brand projects, from our big bang national advertising campaigns to building a standout brand experience across direct-to-consumer channels.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead in innovation, activation, advertising, and promotion on projects assigned whilst assisting and managing a brand budget. 

  • Lead in ongoing analysis and review of consumer, category, Singapore channel/customer, and competitive information as part of a situation assessment of brand performance and identify growth opportunities

  • AnalyzeSingapore market, consumer, and competitive information in setting new product pricing and launches

  • Analyze and review Singapore brand, competitive, category and consumer trends to enhance the brand’s equity and marketplace performance

  • Analyze brand Profit and Loss (P&L) and drive the profitability of the brand

  • Support the creation of the National Category Building Plan based on viewing Category Strategy through the lens of the Singapore market reality

  • Involve in launch management, building launch plans, customer sell-in and legal and regulatory issues

  • Manage the assigned brand’s new product launch assessment and deployment in the local market, including P&L, pricing, place and positioning


QUALIFICATIONS :

  • ​​Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or equivalent

  • Minimum 3 –5 years’ work experience in brand/product management/marketing, preferably in the consumer goods industry

  • Must have experience in handling Singapore market.

  • Proven experience in developing and implementing effective and integrated brand plans in Singapore market

  • You are always obsessive in consumer Intimacy and completely immersed in the world of the consumer, intimately understanding consumers’ current needs and curious about future needs.

  • You are excellent in communication channel management with an integrated program of brand communication in the most cost-effective way

  • You are equipped with media savvy, particularly in digital marketing and know-how

  • You are experienced in proven project and budget management

  • You are knowledgeable in end-to-end marketing management, have the ability to understand the big picture and are also comfortable with details and managing the operations

  • Local and Global Cross-functional teams - Supply Chain, Finance, Customer Development

  • Local marketing expert team (Market Research, Digital, etc)

  • Customers, Creative and Media agencies

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

As publicly announced, it is envisaged that Unilever will internally separate its Ice Cream business by July 2025, at which point this role will transfer to the new Ice Cream company. It is expected that the Ice Cream business will then separate from Unilever by the end of 2025. Any impact on terms and conditions of employment will be communicated in due course. This proposal is subject to consultation where legally required.

You will be eligible for relocation support in the form of flights (to NL), immigration and tax support (in the year of move) and a lump sum in cash to be paid out during the first salary payment in the Netherlands. No further relocation support will be provided in a self-initiated CLOC.
