JOB PURPOSE:
The Material Planner manages Raw and/or Packaging material call-off's to ensure adequate cover for the production plan and manages stocks.
Also needs to ensure that both Suppliers and Supplier Management understand Material Requirements.
Key Accountabilities:
•Schedules raw and packaging material call-offs at specified intervals in order to ensure that production plan is met for in-house and contingency production plans. Review (and Re-plan) material requirements for full year plan.
•Maintain Purchase Orders and Scheduling Agreements, Clean out old Purchase Orders
• Maintain Master Data as defined by the Master Data templates Run Master Data Health Checks at regularly defined intervals
•Supplier Interaction,Attend Supplier Meetings set up by Supply Management
•Monitor Supplier performance (i.e. Delivery against requirements, compliance to site rules, etc...) •Stock supplying monthly forecast to suppliers
•Review trends regarding OR losses arising from material-related issues and does sufficient problem-solving to eliminate failures
Skill&Experience
•University Degree(Enginering preferred), Supply Chain qualification advantage or working towards such qualification
• Having good knowledge of MS Office,SAP ERP
•1-3 Years in Supply Chain FMCG operations (production planning,material planning inventory management)
•Having strong analytical problem-solving skills,
•Strong communication skills to work with stakeholders, external site partner and transportation carriers.
