Beauty & Wellbeingis one of Unilevers five Business Groups, contributing 20% of total turnover and 25% of profit. The beauty market, valued at over 285 billion, is growing at 5-6%, presenting immense opportunities.

Beauty UK
is transforming its operations to become a more consumer-led beauty business, focusing on category growth through Purpose, Science, and Desire. Our strategy aims to enhance profitability, enabling us to invest in growth plans for Simple and TRESemmé (Horizon 1 brands) to gain market share in hair and skin categories from 2024 onwards. This foundation will support future investments in our Horizon 2 and 3 brands from around 2026.

JOB PURPOSE

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Shopper Marketing & DCOMM CSP Executive to consistently bring our brand message to life across all our online/instore touchpoints as we start thinking and feeling more beauty focused.


The successful candidate will be an integral part of the team to ensure brand visibility and maximize ROI through data-driven insights and strategic media planning.

This role works closely with Retail Execution, Marketing, CMC & CS&P teams.

Collaboration with our CD and dcomm teams is crucial to leverage our shopper marketing investment in the retailer Joint Business Plans (JBP’s).

RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Online Launch Excellence
• Provide support for the timely development of assets for online (Organic content)
• Partner closely with CMC, CAMs & brand teams to ensure digital assets and content are aligned with brand strategy and executed flawlessly across platforms.
• Maintain and execute the digital launch checklist, aligning with CMC on prioritisation sku by retailer.
• Ensure consistency and excellence in paid execution.

2. Media & Influencer Monetization
• Work with brand & CAMs to monetize our influencer plans in their customer agreements/JBPs.
• Develop the strategy for trade tagging with our priority customers and ensure as part of this we are unlocking opportunities with customers to deliver category growth (e.g. NPD listing, distribution, feature etc).

3. Online Performance Optimization
• Analyse performance on .com platforms, identifying what’s working across our hair & skin categories.
• Align portfolio strategy with customer needs and digital shelf optimization.
• Monitor and optimize 2P/3P portfolio performance.
• Share and develop SKU ranking tailored by priority customer and platform.

4. Online Reviews Management (e.g. Bazaar Voice)
• Oversee the management of online reviews across brands.
• Prioritisation of the range by retailer.

5. ROI Tracking & Shopper Marketing Effectiveness
• Build and maintain a comprehensive “Bible” of executional best practices and ROI learnings.
• Test and evaluate the impact of in-store and online activations (e.g., shelf trays, floor stickers).

6. Permanent POS
• Project manage the delivery of high-impact permanent POS and long-term branded fixtures, in close collaboration with brand teams and retail execution partners across key retailers.
• Partner with suppliers and project teams to innovate and elevate the quality of permanent POS, ensuring alignment with brand guidelines and a premium shopper experience.

7. Holistic Planning & Budgeting
• Ensuring consistency across platforms working with retail execution and performance marketing
• Support managing total shopper budget and tracking spend, working in partnership with brand & retail execution

• Experience in ideally in Shopper Marketing, CSP and/or Dcomm.
• Strong project management and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Analytical mindset with experience in performance tracking and ROI analysis.
• A good understanding of category strategy and levers
• Influencing & people management skills with the ability to engage / motivate colleagues & stakeholders behind a project
• Strong organisational skills
• Budget management & experience

Location

In June 2020 we announced our plan to consolidatea number of Unilever’s offices across the South East of England into a new Unilever campus in Kingston-upon-Thames in or around early 2025. However, on the 08 August 2024 we announced to our existing staff our proposal to retain our central Head Office in London, 100 Victoria Embankment (“100VE”) until our lease expires in 2027. As a result of this new proposal, we will be consulting with our existing staff, and new joiners who join during this period of consultation at 100VE, on the proposal made in August 2024. During consultation we will clarify the future location of each team and function. This means your role will either be based in 100VE until 2027 or in Kingston-Upon-Thames from early 2025. As we are yet to commence consultation on the proposal you agree, until such a time when consultation has concluded, your normal place of work as set out in the enclosed Statement of Terms & Conditions will be 100VE. You agree that on the conclusion of the consultation your place of work will be 100VE or 100VE until early 2025 and then Kingston-upon-Thames ("the locations") and you will be notified of which of the locations will be your place of work after that consultation ends.

Cyber criminals advertise fake job adverts with prestigious employers as a way of stealing information or even defrauding individuals out of money.In the most sophisticated cases, they will set up fake websites, which have a similar address to companies like Unilever. They even conduct fake telephone interviews and then offer candidates a role with the proviso they pay a fee for background checks or to cover work visa costs. These types of attacks are becoming more common as more people are looking for employment in the economic climate.

How is Unilever tackling this?

Many of Unilever’s recruitment sites publish a warning to candidates about recruitment fraud. The Cyber Security team also proactively scan for signs of people setting up fake Unilever sites and act to close them down.
