ABOUT PERSONAL CARE PTAB BUSINESS UNIT (BU)
Personal Care (PC) business in PTAB is a large, profitable, growing market and thus represents a significant growth opportunity in Unilever. We have an ambition to double incremental turnover in the next 3 years, and we are accretive to overall PC Business Group (BG). We have a diverse geographical footprint spanning markets like Pakistan, Turkey, Arabia and Bangladesh.

We see a clear opportunity to grow our core PC brands through market-making (driving penetration & consumption), premiumization (upgradation), and drive competitiveness across channels.

WHAT WILL YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES BE

  • Strategy
  • Create and roll out a framework for consumer understanding – e.g. consumer habits, drivers of choice, new digital techniques
  • Create multiyear consumer knowledge building programs
  • Capability
  • Create the capabilities that can be leveraged by the organization to deepen consumer knowledge
  • Test and learn with new tools and techniques focusing on digital transformation
  • Delivery
  • Create integrated research plans for innovation/renovation/activation (Target definition, early-stage consumer evaluation of product/pack/claim/sensory) Sharpen problem statements
  • Leverage market, consumer and sensory data to help identify new opportunities for superior products and claims and build roadmaps for the business
  • Craft the research approach needed to deliver project objectives
  • Conduct ideation and inspiration sessions for R&D and the business
  • Partner with the Demand Creation leads across PTAB to deliver competitive and compelling engagement content and storytelling/KBS for both the existing PTAB portfolio and new Innovations in a world of social-first activation.
  • Work closely with CTI colleagues in the BG to ensure consumer insights from PTAB are fed-into the BG-led projects at the relevant stages.
  • Partner the BG CTI team to define any relevant assessment plans for projects with PTAB in scope.
  • Receive and deploy BG-led claims to maximize claims potential, analyze and mitigate risks and ensure alignment with PTAB countries.
  • Leadership
  • Manage, coach and develop the team, supporting them in the execution of the regional CTI program and creating a 1-PTAB CTI, Claims and Engagement capability.


WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO SUCCEED
Experiences & Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in science, psychology, sensory science, market research or any of the Physical Sciences, Marketing or Business.
  • Previous experience of working in CTI
  • Strong stakeholder management, ability to influence & business partnering.
  • Excellent communicator / influencer (written & verbal), with ability to both translate complex scientific ideas and hypothesis into key messages for stakeholders (brand, customer development, key opinion formers - regulators, trade and ultimately consumers)
  • Ability to navigate complex global networks and lead multi-functional, multi-cultural teams spread across multiple geographies.
  • Growth mindset, technical depth, agility and passion for high performance are critical
