JOB PURPOSE
Innovation and Long-Term Planning Team supports the strategic planning agenda of MET IC business together with business partners like marketing, R&D, and IC BG teams and reporting to Ice Cream Innovation Lead I&LP MET.
The job is responsible for:
· SC Strategy as a part of Business Strategy
· Innovation Planning
· Supply / Capacity Long Term Planning
· Supporting Collaborative Manufacturing Capabilities
· Supply Network Design & Optimization
· Savings and Cost Optimization
WHAT WILL YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES BE
I. SC Strategy
· Full integration into local business teams and business strategy within MET region
· Leading design and implementation of Supply Chain strategy as part of business strategy
II. Innovation Planning
· Innovation network execution: Responsible for the timely roll-out of innovations in the MET region, deliver QOTIF implementation
· Define the optimum sourcing network that will meet the cost and timing targets of the innovation aligning with Division SC teams
· Developing the plan for the 1st production, ensure that the capacity for the pipeline is ensured at the sourcing site, considering stock building targets, in consultation with the Sourcing Unit and Integrated Planning teams
· Developing transition plan (rundown) with the Sourcing Unit and Supply Planning team
· Securing Customer Service at the targeted levels within the first 6 months after the innovation, assist in providing solutions regarding any supply/quality issues within this period via coordinating the sourcing unit, the MSO and other related stakeholders
· Managing innovation business & material waste, ensuring minimization at lowest possible level
· Aligning capability needed for innovation, and support CAPEX request process with the Category Engineering Team.
· Anticipating any network risks / delays in advance, identify opportunities that will allow BFI (better & faster innovation)
· Parting of NPD and PTM project teams
· Developing alternative options in CM if necessary.
III. Supply / Capacity Planning
· Understanding category growth assumptions in 8Q Funnel and translate them into volume assumptions as input for long term capacity planning
· Responsible from midterm (RCCP, 9/12months - 24months) to long term (LTCP, +24months) capacity planning process RCDSR for Finished Goods to ensure necessary capacity in place in all SUs to support category growth
· Driving capacity increase plans with relevant teams and lead investment needs
IV. Supply Network Design & Optimization
· Driving simplifications on the supply network and on sourcing sites via identifying harmonization opportunities i.e., formulation, RM, PM (primary and secondary), SKU rationalization and managing the portfolio in cooperation with Marketing through delist plans of tail variants/SKUs
· Searching for optimal sourcing solutions for the existing sourcing networks (identify SU change and localization projects, and lead the execution)
V. Savings and Cost Optimization
· Supporting Category Procurement and R&D teams on category savings plan aligned with the agreed targets and ensure delivery via effective project management and coordination
· Agreeing CAPEX requirements for savings projects with Category Engineering Team and ensure CAPEX allocated in budget and implemented as per plan
· Providing full insight in cost drivers of the portfolio. Ensure full integration with portfolio and financial needs of the business
· Analyzing controlled costs (Production, Logistics), run benchmark and savings studies, and create cost saving projects
WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO SUCCEED
Experiences & Qualifications
Essential:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering
- Fluent in English and Turkish both.
- Growth mindset and entrepreneurial spirit, ability to combine strategic and hands-on activities.
- Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and MS PowerPoint.
Preferred:
- Cross functional business/sourcing/innovation process knowledge.
- Project management skills.
- Experience in MS Project and Power BI.
- Experience in Planning.
- Experience in Project Management.
- Experience in Procurement (Collaborative Manufacturing) – Manufacturing or Engineering.
- Experience in Ice Cream Business

As publicly announced, Unilever will separate its Ice Cream business which is expected by the end of 2025. This role will transfer to the new Ice Cream company.
