Finance Manager of North America Reporting & Strategic Management

Scope: National

Location: Hoboken, NJ

As a Finance Manager, you will play a key leadership role to ascertain revenue reporting accuracy of the largest geography within UL. As an innate problem-solver, with the ability to set, control and execute reporting procedures. The Reporting Manager will effectively use financial information to provide the insights into business performance and leads system and controls improvements. This role requires effective collaboration with a large stakeholder group to ensure that financial processes are running effectively and are accurate. This role leads and coaches a team of two direct reports.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Business Performance & Execution:

  • Master the use of internal & external systems / data sets to ensure they meet the requirements of fast pace and evolving Finance organization.  
  • Trade Balance Sheet Management
    • Monthly trade balance sheet review with Controller
    • Trade review with IBM
    • IBM roll of Current Year to Prior Year
  • Trade Actualization
    • Oversee journal entry bots for fixed trade
    • Maintain SAP auto-accrual rates
    • Coordinate with Finance Operations on in-month trade movement
    • Review/sign-off of monthly top-line on WD+1
  • WD-3 Turnover Flash
  • Turnover (Price) Analysis
  • Cash Debtors forecasting/actuals
  • Global Customer Reporting – into iFinance (WD+7)
    • Coordinate with global team on V220 updates
    • Oversight of NRR module in SAP
    • Alignment of local and global customer results
  • Results Review Presentation for NA CD to CFO and Bus
  • M&A Support – for separating businesses
    • Coordination of CD Finance team preparation for separating businesses
    • Monthly trade balance sheet roll-forward reviews
    • Evaluating R&O with separating business leadership
    • Coordinating settlement of balances
    • Coordinating external audits (once business is under TSA)

Operational Excellence in Sales Forecasting:

  • Ensure the accuracy of financial reporting and controls:
    • Aged rebate control – quarterly
    • SAP to Evergreen reconciliation – Quarterly
    • SCOA mapping sign-off – annually
    • Internal and External audit requirements
  • Partner with the NA Finance Operations Team to ensure that processes and tools are fit for purposes to meet the goals of the CD organization. 
  • Lead the creation and optimization of automated performance reports.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field; MBA or CPA strongly preferred
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to synthesize.
  • Organized, autonomous, and proactive, with a desire to develop in a caring and stimulating environment.
  • Strong understanding of CD / Financial systems (SSAS, Evergreen, Prism, etc.) is a plus.
  • Proficient in the Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Pay: The pay range for this position is $99,760 to $149,640. Unilever takes into consideration a wide range of factors that are utilized in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, qualifications and education, and other business and organizational needs.

Bonus: This position is bonus eligible.

Long-Term Incentive (LTI): This position is LTI eligible.
