The Job

Responsible for the delivery of specific elements of the local insight work plan. This includes but is not limited to market and shopper insight, modelling & analytics and media research.

  • Manages day-to-day projects on activation,  shopper and customer  
  • Provides insights based on market information and identifies business opportunities
  • Develops local consumer intimacy

Main Accountabilities

  • Provides local category and brand performance measurement and competitor reviews
  • Synthesizes primary and secondary research and provides insights into category/brand performance
  • Manages research projects for activation projects including assessing in-market effectiveness
  • Manages local consumer intimacy programs
  • Feeds local consumer and shopper insight into regional brand innovation and communication projects
  • Manages the logistics of the Brand & Communications Tracker
  • Implements Unilever CMI best practice
  • Maximizes the efficiency and effectiveness of market research projects and analyses by:
  • Selecting the appropriate technical design (within best practice guidelines)
  • Ensuring clear project definition and action-ability
  • Evaluating proposals and bids from appropriate research suppliers
  • Managing projects to time and budget
  • Identifying and resolving issues during implementation
  • Managing clients’ expectations
  • Controlling the quality of suppliers’ work
  • interpreting and evaluating research findings
  • Clearly communicating key findings/recommendations
  • Other tasks assigned by Line Managers

Key Skills

Relevant Experience

  • Understands category and brands
  • Designs and manages research projects
  • Analyses market information to identify opportunities
  • Minimum of 3 years Market Research
  • Preferably a mix of ad hoc and market information
