Function: Planning

Reports to: Manufacturing & Maintenance Manager

Scope: North America

Location: Site Cuernavaca, Morelos. Mexico.

Terms & Conditions: This is a temporary role of between 6-12 months required on Site based in Mexico (Cuernavaca Factory) (Hybrid position).

Role Purpose: Land innovation funnel of North America in Aeromexico's Operation.

Responsibilities:

1. System - Timely and correct management of innovations in the different systems (SAP, RR, Pre-Production meetings, etc )
2. Team - Link between NA and LATAM to ensure correct interaction between teams - Lead governance to share priorities of both BUs and avoid business disruptions as well as participation in current forums of both businesses.
3. Projects - Leads transition of North America Innovation projects (Business as usual & Hard Transitions)

Activities:

• Validation of MPS, review of productions dates and transitions
• Weekly call with Ball team (validation of forecast, outages, and changes with supplier)
• Weekly call with CCL team (validation of forecast, outages, and changes with supplier)
• Monthly call: Lindal, Nypro, Summit, Firmenich, Givaudan (depending on the project we lead call with supplier for MRP material tracking).
• Parameterization of new materials      
• New and obsolete BOM's in PLM
• Control of current and new codes
• Pre-production meeting scheduling (Leadership until delivery of the meeting); Includes material monitoring for Pre-Production meeting.
• Cutting meeting with MRP's, Supply, Sourcing + NA team
• Code creation
• Ticket creation
• Monthly innovation session
• Costing
• Production confirmation
• Quality assurance CF
• Assure quality standards
• Assure approval of can standards   
• Review of materials
• Participation in project meetings - Innovation but also factory process.
• Leadership (Owner) of individual projects hard transition (i.e Prada BN2, Nova, etc) - ensure weekly or bi-weekly project Gantt tracking meetings
• Periodic meetings with Manufacturing (Full team) to report on transitions with Business but also operational view (Zero impacts on plan, OEE, Waste, Quality, etc.)

Experiences & Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of the SAP ECC system
  • NTPP for innovation planning at Kinaxis
  • Basic planning concepts such as Master Planning
  • Knowledge in materials planning
