Job Summary:
The Warehouse Lead (WL) role exists to create an environment of excellence in which we can deliver our business objectives through people, systems and processes. The primary focus for this position will be on driving continuous improvement within the warehouse operations team, focusing on efficiency gains across all areas of the facility. This includes overseeing inventory management practices, implementing lean manufacturing techniques, managing maintenance schedules for equipment & facilities upkeep, streamlining logistics processes for outbound shipments, managing quality control measures effectively to ensure product integrity throughout the supply chain process from receipt to delivery; as well as ensuring compliance regulations are met at all times.
Responsibilities:
• Create an efficient operation system by analyzing current workflows and identifying opportunities for improvement.
• Develop strategies to increase operational efficiency and reduce waste.
• Implement lean manufacturing principles such as just-in-time production, continuous improvement, and visual management.
• Oversee inventory management practices including cycle counting programs, stock rotation initiatives, and ABC analysis methodologies.
• Manage maintenance schedules for equipment & facilities upkeep, ensuring regular preventative maintenance tasks are completed on time.
• Streamline logistics processes for outbound shipments, including packaging optimization and transportation route efficiencies.
• Manage quality control measures effectively to ensure product integrity throughout the supply chain process from receipt to delivery.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements related to safety, environmental sustainability, and food safety standards.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Operations Management preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in operations management within a manufacturing/warehousing environment.
• Experience working with SAP ERP software and Microsoft Office Suite applications.
• Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodology.
• Proven ability to drive operational improvements leading to increased efficiency and cost savings.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Ability to work independently while also being proactive in seeking guidance when necessary.
• Knowledge of FDA regulations regarding food processing and handling would be beneficial but not required.
