Job Purpose

Leading and ensure the implementation of Unilever’s Quality Management System (QMS), specifications, and standards across in-house and contract manufacturing (CM) sites. The role ensures compliance with local regulatory requirements, drives continuous quality improvement, and safeguards consumer safety and product quality.

Main Responsibilities

Quality System Implementation & Compliance

  • Lead implementation of Unilever QMS and standards.

  • Ensure compliance with local regulations and Unilever requirements.

  • Conduct internal audits and quality verification programs.

  • Maintain external audits and certifications.

Operational Support & Improvement

  • Support operations and engineering in identifying quality/process improvements.

  • Participate in TPM, Kaizen, WCM, and other quality initiatives.

  • Use SAP QM, InterSpec/PLM systems for quality data management.

Consumer Safety & Complaint Handling

  • Investigate and resolve top consumer/customer complaints.

  • Manage product incidents and non-conforming materials.

  • Lead HACCP and prerequisite program implementation (e.g., hygiene, allergen control).

Data & Documentation

  • Ensure traceability of materials and products.

  • Monitor product fill control and quality testing throughout production.

  • Maintain accurate records of key quality data and compliance.

Project & Innovation Support

  • Support innovation trials and equipment management.

  • Participate in VIP, 5S, and other site quality projects.

  • Fulfill quality responsibilities for innovation and change management.

Advanced Technical Support

  • Apply knowledge in microbiology, chemistry, and statistics to support quality testing.

  • Conduct process capability studies.

  • Support HACCP plans with advanced hazard control expertise.

Candidate Criteria

Education & Experience

  • Degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Microbiology, Engineering, or related field.

  • Experience in quality assurance/control in manufacturing or FMCG environment.

Skills

  • Strong knowledge of HACCP, GMP, and regulatory compliance.

  • Proficiency in SAP QM, InterSpec/PLM, and data analysis tools.

  • Understanding of microbiological and chemical testing methods.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Effective communication and stakeholder management.

  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive continuous improvement.

Certifications (Preferred)

  • HACCP certification.

  • Internal auditor or quality systems certification.
