Job Purpose
As the Assistant Engineering Manager for Foods 3P, you will be responsible for managing and improving the engineering performance of third-party manufacturing sites. You will ensure that Unilever’s standards for safety, quality, efficiency, and sustainability are upheld, while driving continuous improvement and innovation in manufacturing processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Technical Leadership: Provide engineering support and guidance to 3P factories to ensure optimal equipment performance and reliability.
Project Management: Lead and support capital expenditure (CapEx) projects, including equipment upgrades, installations, and process improvements.
Performance Monitoring: Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) such as Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), energy usage, and maintenance costs.
Compliance & Standards: Ensure 3P sites comply with Unilever’s safety, quality, and environmental standards.
Continuous Improvement: Drive productivity and cost-saving initiatives through Lean, TPM, and digital tools.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams (Quality, Safety, Supply Chain, Procurement) and external partners to ensure seamless operations.
Innovation Support: Collaborate with R&D and Supply Chain teams to support new product introductions and process innovations at 3P sites.
Candidate Criteria:
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or related field).
3–5 years of experience in manufacturing or engineering roles, preferably in FMCG or food industry.
Experience working with third-party manufacturers or suppliers is a strong advantage. Skills & Competencies:
Strong technical knowledge of manufacturing processes and equipment.
Project management and problem-solving skills.
Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, TPM, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Analytical mindset with ability to interpret data and drive insights.
Fluent in English and Bahasa Indonesia.
Additional Information:
This role will require you to be mobile and visit several third-party manufacturing sites across Indonesia.
