Job Purpose
Project Engineer is a vital role who leads and manages engineering projects and new equipment installations that support manufacturing excellence, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery while upholding the highest standards of safety, quality, and operational efficiency.
Project Engineer also applies Equipment Management principles, driving continuous improvement, and ensuring new equipment and systems are designed for optimal performance, maintainability, and compliance with regulatory and internal standards.
Main Responsibilities:
- Lead and coordinate engineering projects with global team, ensure project delivery meets safety and food quality standard (e.g., GMP/GHP, HACCP), output target, and cost-effectiveness within budget.
- Lead, monitor, report project progress, CAPEX spending and ensure timely completion.
- Manage proposal development, design and development of mechanical and other technical within project, planning, scheduling, resource allocation, procurement, and execution.
- Address technical issues and project challenges, providing solutions to keep the project on track
- Develop and implement technical standards aligned with User Requirement Specifications (URS).
- Ensure documentation, training, and handover processes are in place for project execution and smooth transition to operations.
- Conduct Management of Change (MOC), Risk Assessments and implement mitigation strategies for responsible projects.
- Promote and enforce safety and quality awareness throughout all project phases.
- Apply Early Equipment Management (EEM) to ensure new equipment is designed for reliability, maintainability, and operability.
- Lead activities such as FMEA, vertical start-up planning, and equipment capability assessments.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate EEM deliverables into project timelines.
- Communicate and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, production teams, vendors, and contractors on technical requirements and decisions alignment under uncertainty.
- Identify and extend best practices across production lines.
- Drive value engineering to enhance operational efficiency.
Candidate Criteria
Skill & Qualification:
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing project management and analytical tools is a must
- Understanding complex mathematical concepts and being able to initiate improvement
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously through the full project lifecycle
- Agility and able to work under pressure, expectation, and limited time frame
- Excellent communication, presentation, leadership, and stakeholder management skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office program, and related programs
- Proficiency in AutoCAD is required, Naviswork or other related programs is a plus
- Proficiencies in SAP, Power BI, and data visualization is a plus
- Energetic, working in a dynamic environment and good interpersonal skills
- Good command of both written and spoken in English

Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Automation, Mechanical, Mechatronic or Engineering in related fields
- 3-5 years of experience in project engineering, project planning or a related field
- Proven experience in managing engineering projects and vertical start-up is required.
- Experience in continuous improvement methodology (e.g. Six Sigma, Lean, TPM) and digitalization is a plus
- Familiar with a variety of concepts, practices, processes, and technology of FMCG manufacturing
