Main Job Purpose:
Manage and Lead a team of line specialists in Packaging and Palletizing to maintain equipment in an as new condition through preventative and predictive, assuring reliable performance to standard through inspections, corrective actions to restore equipment back to inherent condition, problem solving to address root cause of failures and loop closure and provide input into the maintenance budget.
Key Accountabilities:
- Prepare, execute, register, evaluate and improve planned maintenance activities.
- Train and support AM teams in achieving, sustaining, and improving basic equipment condition.
- Produce and report accurate and timely data and to effectively communicate to the relevant stakeholders in order to facilitate optimal decision making.
- Build capability of Line Specialists through coaching and training.
- Identify and manage projects in the Packaging Hall and Palletizing to improve efficiencies and innovation.
- Involvement Project scoping up to installation and commissioning of Packaging and Palletizing related equipment.
- Support initiatives in Packaging Hall and Palletizing in relation to quality, safety and new products development.
- Ensure quality checks are carried out and deviations to standard acted on quality impact machines
- Identify and ensure availability of critical spares on critical machines.
- Manage allocated maintenance budget for the Packaging.
- Optimize Equipment Performance.
- Contribute to self and team development and communicate effectively.
- Use data driven techniques to sustain and drive systemic improvements in equipment reliability for selected machine group by developing, improving and optimizing preventive and predictive maintenance plans.
- Optimize maintenance costs, medium- and long-term plans and spare parts holding to achieve the agreed Budget
- Support and coaching of artisans and operators to achieve 100% Uptime, Zero Safety incidents, Zero Quality incidents, usages like water, energy etc. in control.
- Maintain a safe, healthy and risk-free working environment for all the machines.
- Provide a stable platform from which natural deterioration linked failures can be appropriately addressed with preventive and predictive maintenance activities.
- Engage with Equipment OEMs for technical support.
- Facilitate Problem Solving with RCA and loop closure.
Experience Required:
- Technical Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering (N6)
- Trade Test
- 5 - 7 years’ post-trade experience in an automated FMCG production environment.
- Knowledge of operation and maintenance of High-Speed Packaging machinery like Fillers, Labelers and Palatizing equipment.
- Team Management experience of minimum 2 years.
- Problem Solving Skills essential.
- Excellent Communication skills.
