Job Title: People Partner
Location: UniOps Bangalore Office
JOB PURPOSE
This role is designed to support the People Partnering function for the Global Digital & Technology (GDT) Center in India. GDT serves as the digital engine of Unilever, driving growth across all Business Groups and 1UL markets, enabling streamlined digital operations, and powering the infrastructure that supports Unilever’s global business.
The incumbent will be responsible for delivering a best-in-class employee experience for a defined span within GDT India. Acting as the primary HR interface for employees and line managers during key moments that matter, the role involves resolving complex people-related situations, offering expert guidance on policies and processes, and ensuring alignment with business strategy. This includes leveraging deep knowledge of local laws, Unilever policies, and digital tools to drive transformation in the employee experience space.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Partner with line managers to provide guidance on individual employee matters and HR processes.
• Resolve complex employee queries using HR policies, systems, legal knowledge, and sound judgment.
• Maintain and update knowledge platforms like UNA Hub and share insights to improve HR technology.
• Support employee relations (ER) casework, ensuring compliance with employment laws and HR policies.
• Provide hands-on support for performance management, disciplinary actions, grievances, leave, flexible working, and redundancy processes.
• Promote Unilever’s standards of behaviour and help resolve conflicts in line with the Code of Business Principles.
• Build trust with employees and managers by being a neutral and fair facilitator in resolving concerns.
• Identify ER trends, coach managers, and recommend proactive solutions to address root causes.
• Collaborate with HR teams (HRBPs, Payroll, Reward, Talent Acquisition, etc.) to resolve queries and deliver seamless support.
• Act as the first point of contact for complex people-related matters within the assigned business area.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Candidates should hold an MBA in Human Resource Management and have 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in HR.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Prior experience in handling performance conversations, understanding local labor laws, managing complex employee relations issues, and resolving employee conflicts will be considered an added advantage.
