Job Purpose
Foods business in Greater Asia (GA) is a proud, successful, and fast-growing business. GA’s biggest market is Philippines. Our remarkable brands include Knorr & Lady’s Choice. Our core product categories include cooking aids (cubes, KLS, soups, jok) and condiments-dressings (mayonnaise and meaty spreads).
R&D is the business core- engine to drive innovations ensuring product designs are winning in the market. It also fuels existing business to growth in ensuring all Brand-led growth and efficiency projects are delivered on-time and in-full. R&D Function works strongly with other cross functional teams’ locale and globally to deliver growth action plan for the GA.
Main Responsibilities
- Drive GA Diet and Health (D&H) agenda in innovations and technology roadmaps for all food categories based on external (policies, consumers, markets insights, competitors, health influencers), and internal priorities.
- Cascade & Coordinate D&H global strategy/policy to local/Country D&H for planning and execution. This includes leading the follow-through on a regular basis for status and completion.
- Embed D&H Agenda with TPLs & Country lead in designing innovations and updates on existing product design to future proof design and make it relevant for future generations
- Define & execute the advocacy agenda andbuild KOF/KOL network/strategy through effective and positive collaborations
- Co-lead THCL Nutrition Advocacy with Country RD Lead and Support PHVN
- Co-lead with External Affairs & Regulatory in GA in putting together clear communications and technical support for identified advocacy priorities.
- Manage GA USNC and Positive Nutrition tracking working with local D&H via leading data correction input to global team to drive accuracy in central dashboard.
- Lead Compliance Roadmaps for total GA working together with R&D Country Lead and Marketing team.
- Co-Lead nutritional assessment for product and recipe for THCL by working with country D&H
- Co-lead Nutrition Claims for Key GA Projects driving impactful execution of the strategy as early as project kick off.
- Regional/local D&H communication aligned plan for both “health influencers” (experts, health care professionals, NGOs, media, and customers) and “consumers activation” by
- Prepare substantiation dossier for D&H claims, local Q&As, and message for spokespeople for events/topics related to D&H agenda.
- Design communication materials (e.g. Q&A, consumer care line)
- Nutrition training to partners (CD/BB/RDC) for (re)launches/events
Candidate Criteria
Experience & Qualification
- Degree in Food Science, Nutrition or related fields
- A minimum of 5 yrs’ experience in an FMCG company in a similar role.
- Passion in nutrition, driving impactful claims and effective advocacy
- Winning culture – care deeply, deliver with excellence, focus on what matters and stay three steps ahead.
- Energized working in teams
- Highly Fluent in English
- Highly skilled in Microsoft especially PowerPoint, Excel and Power BI
